We’re Joseph and Kim, a husband-and-wife photography duo specializing in weddings, and the people behind images by JAC. We started our business in 2018 and have been lucky enough to spend the years since getting to know some pretty incredible people and documenting some of life’s biggest moments.
We’re proud to call Aylmer, Ontario home. Kim was born and raised here, while Joseph grew up in Niagara and has called Aylmer home for more than nine years. We love being part of a small-town community, and we’re passionate about supporting the people and businesses that make it feel like home.

Joseph is the creative behind the camera. He has an eye for light, composition, and those fleeting moments that turn into the photographs you can’t stop looking at. He can see a moment unfolding and instinctively know how to use the light, surroundings, and timing to create something special.

Second Shooter, Client Experience Lead
Kim has been an elementary school teacher for more than 13 years, which may explain why she can somehow keep a wedding day organized while wrangling a crowd, calming nerves, fixing last-minute details, and making sure everyone knows where they’re supposed to be. She brings an incredible sense of organization and a calm, caring presence to every wedding day — and she’s also an important part of the creative team behind the camera.
Our story
A Little About Us
Family is a big part of who we are outside of photography, too. We absolutely love spending time with our nieces and nephews, and some of our favourite moments are the simple ones spent together as a family. We believe those everyday moments are just as meaningful as the big ones and that probably has a lot to do with why we love photographing people so much.
When we’re not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find us enjoying the simple things in life, spending time with our fur-son Cujo, supporting our community, or finding another reason to laugh together.
At the end of the day, we’re just two people who love what we do, love where we come from, and feel pretty lucky that we get to do it together.
Our approach
More Than Photographers
We believe photography is rooted deeply in legacy and connection.
The people we love, the moments we share, and the stories we create together are some of the most meaningful parts of our lives. That’s why we don’t simply want to create photographs that look beautiful today. We want to create photographs that mean something years from now.
Our hope is that when you look back at your photographs, you don’t just see what happened — you feel it all over again. The excitement, the happy tears, the laughter, the people who stood beside you, and all those little moments you may not have even noticed happening at the time.
That’s why getting to know our couples matters so much to us.
We always tell our clients that choosing a photographer isn’t only about loving their work. You should also love who you’re inviting into your day, because we’ll be there for some of the biggest and most personal moments of your wedding. We don’t want to simply show up, photograph your day, and leave. We want to know you, hear your stories, understand what matters to you, and become genuinely invested in the people and plans behind the photographs we’re creating.
And we mean that in the little things, too.
We’ve fixed dresses, tucked in tags, calmed nerves, helped with last-minute details, and done whatever we can to make things easier. At one wedding, our groom’s shoelace broke just before the ceremony. Without a second thought, Joseph took the shoelace right out of his own shoe and gave it to him. It was such a small moment, but that’s exactly who we want to be for our couples.
And sometimes, the moments get to us, too.
Kim has been known to tear up during ceremonies. After spending months getting to know a couple, hearing about their plans, talking through their vision, and watching everything they’ve imagined finally unfold, it’s hard not to feel something when you see them standing there.
We care about our couples. We care about their people. And we care about the moments we’re trusted to photograph.
Because when we look back at the photographs we’ve created together, our hope isn’t simply that you remember what your wedding day looked like.

Kim and Joseph are a really wonderful photography team to work with. They drove to me about 2 hours away to work with me. I was able to pick the location and it was a gorgeous day. I felt posing in front of them very natural. Kim was able to assist Joseph with angles, different locations, and carrying our supplies around. The duo really makes it a calm atmosphere to feel comfortable in front of the camera. They are both open to new ideas and to literally climb to great heights to get the perfect shot. They really delivered on the quality of their photos and I received them in a timely manner. I found their transfer of photos a bit confusing to receive and open. I have worked with many photographers in the past and their editing style is one of the best I’ve seen. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get photos done and I would definitely work with them again.
