The Story
Rebecca + Kevin got married at the C Hotel by Carmen’s in Hamilton, Ontario, on a beautiful spring day. Their wedding was absolutely magical from start to finish. It was a small, intimate celebration filled with the people who know them best. It carried this quiet kind of warmth…simple, unforced, and full of love in all the right places.
One of the things we loved most about working at the C Hotel is how seamless everything is in one location. The day never had to shift, rush, or travel anywhere else, which meant it could just unfold naturally. There’s something really special about that. Letting a wedding breathe instead of managing it.
Their ceremony took place on the rooftop terrace, with soft spring light and the city stretching out around them. It was simple in the best way—nothing overstated, just the two of them, standing there with their closest people watching on.
Leading up to the day, Rebecca + Kevin were honest about being nervous in front of the camera. They kept saying they weren’t “photo people” but watching them on the day told a completely different story. There was a quiet ease between them, and once they settled in, everything just fell into place naturally. You’d never know they were nervous looking back at the photos.
Afterwards, we moved into the hotel’s beautiful ballroom for an indoor reception that felt warm and relaxed. There was tons of laughter, conversation, and the kind of energy that comes from being truly present with your people.
As the day slowed down, we headed back up to the rooftop for sunset. The city glowed in the background, and everything softened just a little. We even convinced them to bring their wedding party up with us, and honestly it ended up being one of our favourite decisions of the entire day. The energy shifted, everyone loosened up, and it turned into this effortless, joy-filled moment overlooking the city.
It was a day that proved you don’t need a lot of moving parts to create something unforgettable. You just need the right people, in the right place.
Joseph and Kim are two of the kindest souls on the planet. I met them at the London bridal show in 2021 and they were so enthusiastic and excited about what they do. From the very beginning they were knowledgeable, helpful and PATIENT. I had no idea what to expect from a photographer (or a wedding, even) and they took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. They helped us create a timeline for our wedding, nailed everything on our shot list and got detail shots I never even would have thought of. I could ramble forever because they're just that wonderful. 10/10 will absolutely always recommend images by JAC!
